Setting our sights on documentary film and letting the edit speak to the viewer was a conscious decision. The heart of all True Medusa content is based around the unique stories of individuals that we find to share their perspective
While recognized for its colorful cinematography and editing, the heart of all True Medusa Pictures work is taking care in choosing characters whose stories are authentic and powerful. The goal is to apply the techniques and perspectives of the documentary filmmaker or photojournalist to all the work we do.

Sophie started her career working as a videojournalist for newspapers in Minneapolis and Denver before becoming a TV show editor, then the senior editor of a client-driven video production company. Through career shifts, she has never lost her passion for story-building and now works to combine the two fields. She is dedicated to the human element within every project that crosses her path. The fast-paced world of the 24-hour news cycle has made her a decisive and energetic editor motivated by tight deadlines and complex stories. Sophie has experience in shooting and directing as well.
